Oprah, Want to visit Central York and hear all the About Buddy Bench Movement?

Central York School District hasn't given up on its quest to draw Oprah as a guest for the district's annual Diversity Celebration.

A couple of months ago, Central released a video inviting Oprah to speak at this year's diversity event. The reasoning was that the Buddy Bench - a wildly popular idea sparked by Central York student Christian Bucks - had not only been replicated nationwide, but was mentioned in the pages of O, the Oprah Magazine.

That district hoped if enough people shared that first video, Oprah would respond. Not to be deterred, the district has released a second video trying to coax Oprah to York County. In the latest, students sing "Oprah, Be My Friend."

The diversity event is scheduled for April 28 at Central York Middle School. It will feature food, music and entertainment by students, as well as awards for students and staff members making a difference in the community, according to a newsletter.

Find the YouTube video on Central York's website, www.cysd.k12.pa.us. Central suggests sharing it on Twitter, tagging @Oprah, to get her attention.
